Black oak 21" frame drum, deep drum for lapstyle
Bog oak (black oak) is wood that was extracted from the water, mostly rivers after thousands years of hibernation. After that, it was dried under natural conditions for several years, and finally it was dried in a dryer. The processes that take place in oak during many hundred years of soaking lead to its transformation into mineral structure. That's why its sound is so special. With a loosely lowered diaphragm, give very low and deep bass and at the same time high tones resulting from the sound of the body itself. I made bog oak drums for many great musicians like Yshai Afterman (Israel), Murat Coskun (Germany/Turkey), Andrea Picconi (Italy), Khayrullojon Dadoboev (Tajikistan), Youssef Laktina (Germany/Syria), Simon Tressin (Germany), Ricardo A. Haila (France/Lebanon) and many others musicians around the world.
The drum is tuned to 12 screws 4mm, tuning key - 3 mm.
