I was astonished to meet the quality and commitment Jacek has put into making his instruments. I was particularly surprised by his bendirs, they all had a beautiful tone, sounded good in several tunings, and they were very-very sensitive to play on. The riqs were also great, very natural sounding with sharp taks and beautiful doums. I enjoyed playing on his snare drums as well, very sensitive instruments. All in all, hats off!
Bio
I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. Having both of my parents musicians, I picked up the piano at the age of 5 and after 7 years of playing I switched to the drums. From the age of 15 I had the chance to play with some of the biggest Hungarian jazz and pop artists (Nikoletta Szoke, Robert Szakcsi Lakatos, Gyula Csepregi, Agi Szaloki, Compact Disco, Charlie Horvath, UP, etc.). At the age of 19 I joined the internationally known balkan band Besh o droM. After having played on practically every European country on major festivals with them, I moved to Rotterdam, The Netherlands to do my bachelor studies, which I finished in 2014 summa cum laude. In Rotterdam I had the chance to play with people like Reinier Baas, Abel Marcel Calderon or Stefan Lievestro. Currently living in Poland, I have played with artists like Dima Gorelik, Dagadana, Milky Wishlake or Ralph Kaminski. Throughout my career I also had the chance to perform in places like Mexico, Australia, China, South-Korea, Dubai or India on festivals like WOMADelaide, Calcutta Jazz Festival or Shanghai World Music Festival.
